Fees and Rebates

Fees and rebates are consistent current Medicare and Australian Psychological Society Guidelines. Please check with us as fees vary based on a number of factors including session duration, nature of client request, and personal circumstance.

Medicare Rebates

You may be able to claim a rebate of $126.50 per consultation, up to a maximum of 10 consultations per calendar year. This rebate requires referral by a General Practitioner under the Better Access to Mental Health Care Programme. Alternatively you can be referred directly by a Psychiatrist or Pediatrician. There are additional rebates available for people with ASD and new COVID-19 items.

Health Fund Rebates

​Many clients are eligible for private health rebate. We are registered providers with most major health funds that cover Clinical Psychology. You may need to check with your health fund to determine your level of cover for psychological services.
 
State of Mind Psychology and the Cognitive Assessment Clinic have the latest technology including HICAPS terminals and Medicare Easyclaim (immediate rebate) so that rebates can be processed electronically at the time of consultation
