Richard McBride
Principal Clinical Psychologist
Richard McBride is a specialist Clinical Psychologist with 20 years of experience in the field. He enjoys working collaboratively with clients to overcome difficulties and to flourish.
Richard has trained at University of Sydney and University of NSW. He has had previous appointments at The Black Dog Institute, Brain and Mind Centre (University of Sydney), the Headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation, UNSW Fatigue Clinic (School of Medicine Sciences), the Centre for Corporate Health, the Acute Rehab Team at Price of Wales Hospital, the Northern Beaches Adolescent Service (NSCCAHS), and Synergise Psychology.
Richard has experience working in medical and psychological research at The Black Dog Institute, The Neuropsychiatric Institute (UNSW) and UNSW Fatigue Clinic (School of Medicine Sciences). He has been an author on a number of peer reviewed journal articles. In 2014 he was awarded a Mason Foundation research grant of $59,954 for a neurocognitive study of CFS.
Richard has considerable experience in Medical and Psychological training and education. He has worked as a clinical lecturer at USyd and UNSW, as well as running training for the College of Professional Psychology. He presented at the 12th European Conference on Psychological Assessment in Spain. He is a speaker and trainer for Reed Medical Education at the GPCE: General Practice Conference and Exhibition in several states.
Richard McBride provides services to clients throughout Sydney: predominantly the Inner East, Inner West, and CBD areas. He offers remote consultations to clients on a number of platforms including: GoToMeeting; Google Hangouts/Meet; Skype; WhatsApp and Facetime.
